Problem
In school we’ve been studying electrical engineering and have been building sound circuits during class. We built sound circuits in class by first copying down the schematic of the circuits into our journals. next, we would copy down the wiring sequence for the circuits into our journals. Then, we would take out the electrical playground and make the circuits.
After we’ve had enough practice building the circuits, he assigned us the project of building a sound circuit. He gave us the option to build to 1 of the 3 sound circuits that we made during class. I choose to build the police siren. I needed lots of components to build this circuit. I needed resistors of 22k ohms and 100k ohms, an 2SA NPN transistor, 0.02 uF, 0.1 uF ,and 10 uF capacitors, Battery holder/case of 3V, Key (Switch), 8 ohms speaker, and finally Transformer with 5 leads.

Soultion
First I needed to get the materials to build the sound circuit. At first, I went to Micro Center to look for the resistors, transistors, and capacitors but they weren’t there. The next day our teacher recommended a place called Tanners to us and said it had all of the materials that we needed. After school me and my mother drove to Tanners to check it out. When we arrived to Tanners, I saw a fellow classmate called Melanie. After that we asked an employee to help us find the materials that we needed for the sound circuit. He gave us all the materials that we needed for a very affordable price.
We went back home to start building the sound circuit. I looked at the schematic in my journal and followed it. I had to follow the schematic very carefully because if I messed up even a little bit, the whole sound circuit wouldn’t work. I finished making the circuit using my breadboard and by following the schematic by the end of the night. But the only problem was that it didn’t work. So I went to school with it and started to use my teacher’s electronic lab. I unhooked my transformer from my circuit and hooked it up to the lab’s transformer. I tested it out and it worked. So I used a different transformer that my friend gave me, and it worked.

I think that this project was really fun and entertaining to do because it really opened us up to the world of electrical engineering. It was fun because we got to learn and build a sound circuit. It was entertaining because we were the one actually building the sound circuit instead of watching the teacher do it. This is really inspiring to get people into electrical engineering because the end result is a cool sound.
